Colleen Merced has a BS in Psychology, education in Social Work and a MS in leadership and development. She has 22 years’ experience working with families and youth who have been victims or survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. She has over 16 years’ experience writing grants and overseeing finances for non-profit management. She started her career in NYC working with a street outreach program that worked with youth that were high-risk and associated with gangs and violence. She then went on to be the program Director of a rape crisis/Domestic violence program for 11 years, where she helped start the child advocacy center in Otsego County. For the past 9 years she has been at McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center as the Associate Director, becoming the Executive Director in 2018. She oversees the Onondaga County Task Force on Human Trafficking and oversees the Multidisciplinary team at McMahon Ryan. She has dedicated her life to serving victims and volunteers her time to helping the disadvantaged.
